ABOUT OAK & ATLAS
Strong foundations. A world worth exploring.
Oak & Atlas Learning was created from a simple belief: children deserve an education that is both academically strong and full of wonder.
We build curriculum with intentional sequences of knowledge and skills, while making room for the questions, connections, stories, observations, and discoveries that make learning meaningful.
Because strong foundations shouldn't narrow a child's world. They should give them more of it to explore.
OUR APPROACH
Children are naturally curious—but curiosity becomes more powerful when children have knowledge to draw from.
That's why Oak & Atlas doesn't ask families to choose between strong academics and meaningful, engaging learning. Skills are taught intentionally. Knowledge builds over time. And whenever a connection can deepen understanding, children are invited to follow it.
A story can lead to history. A science observation can become writing. A map can spark mathematical thinking. Learning begins to feel less like a collection of separate assignments and more like a growing understanding of the world.
Knowledge gives curiosity somewhere to go.
We don't connect subjects for the sake of a theme.
We connect learning when the connection matters.
MEET THE FOUNDER
Hi, I'm Stephanie.
I'm Stephanie Hallum, the educator and curriculum designer behind Oak & Atlas Learning.
Before creating Oak & Atlas, I taught English language arts and ESL and spent years designing instruction, building curriculum, and helping other educators strengthen their teaching. My work since leaving the classroom has continued to center on the same question that shaped my teaching: How do we help learners build the knowledge and skills they need without losing the curiosity that makes them want to learn in the first place?
Oak & Atlas grew from that question.
I'm building the kind of curriculum I believe learning deserves to be—academically intentional, thoughtfully connected, beautiful to use, and designed with respect for both the child learning and the parent teaching.

WHAT WE'RE BUILDING
Beginning with Grade One. Built to grow.
Oak & Atlas begins with four complete Grade One curricula in English language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies.
It's the first step toward a broader K–12 collection built around the same promise: strong foundations, meaningful connections, and room to discover.
